For some users the Aspherix v7.1.0 installer might show an error like:

You can just click Ignore, and it will not affect the installation or future use in a major way.
The installation will just continue normally. At runtime the Aspherix Classic (CPU version) will always terminate with an error like:
❯ ./aspherix -version Using classic implementation Aspherix (Version Aspherix 7.1.0, compiled 2026-06-24-20:25:26 by bob, git commit 2e7bcc2d1e8f9d590b59e8576355d666e75359a5) Start time: 2026-06-26-10:04:19 Job 1, './aspherix -version' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)
Which will not affect the simulation itself in any way. The problem lies in the final exit from (shutdown of) Aspherix, which is done when a simulation is completely done. The Aspherix GPU variants are not affected by this issue.
This is a known problem, and will be resolved in an upcoming minor release.
